I'd like to know how to do this with triangles or other prims. Mostly added. Any ideas?

From: ZeroTSDA Magic I'd like to know how to do this with triangles or other prims. Mostly added. Any ideas? Easiest hexagon is two tapered cubes, bottom to bottom. The join runs down the centerline of the prism shape. That will work up to 10 M across the points of the hexagon.

Hexagonal pyramid?

There are multiple 3-prim ways about making that, and I think all of them involve 3 box prims tapered to a tip. For the easiest way, stretch one's rectangular base across a hexagon to do two opposite sides, and then duplicate that and rotate 60°, and do that again.

make cube. set both skews to 45. scale x and y so that: (x*2)^2+(y*2)^2=x^2 (too lazy to solve or check this now)
use 3 of these parts, rotated around z by +-120° , to make a hexagon.
Anything more requires 12th grade vector math and WILL get rounding errors due to 32bit floats and inaccurate z-buffering.
