hey gang,

Okay I have been around for a few weeks. I have nailed making clothes and I am ready for new adventures... I have taken the tutorial of creating with Prims and I have that figured out at a basic level but know that there is more to come.

So... here are some questions:

Once I create an object... say a chair

1) what do I use to where you touch it the person sits in the chair in a particlur way
a) script
b) pose
depending on the answer is it just simply dropping it in on the content section of the Prim?

2) depending on the answer to the first question... are there SL libraries where there are free poses or scripts for basic things (not looking for origional work here... just basic things)? If so where do I find them?

3) Piecing together from this forum and others, that there is a software package (Poser) that must be purchased to create custom poses... I was lucky and had photoshop so I may have to pass on that... are there other cheaper alternatives?

4) are there turturials for scripting and pose creation?

Thanks a ton.

If what you're looking for are special poses when you sit, you need both a script and a pose... and usually an extra prim for the "pose ball" that houses them both.

Yes there are, but I really don't remember where. I've got a full set of poses and scripts I would be glad to give you. I won't be on till late tonight (I'm on GMT-4), so maybe we could meet and I'll pass it on to you.. or you can IM me telling me you want them and I'll drop them off even if you're offline.

There are cheaper alternatives... but the cheaper they are, the harder it is getting them to produce anything compatible with SL's avatars.

There are, but you're better off looking the the "Animations" Discussion.
