I am learning to build and have built a couple of beds. Where might i find a "sex engine" or whatever it is called, to imbed into my beds - something where the poses, etc. are customizable. Thank you.

Search for 'miffy fluffy' in SL. Follow one of his picks to his place and you will find the mlp engine. It just looks like a flat rectangle. Then read the documentation. He also has a newer engine called xpose that you can check out as well. There are other engines available that I've seen on slexchange.

Also, the actual sexgen base works very well for personal use. I would not recommend trying to use them to sell beds, simply because they are generally expensive (Maybe you could contact the creator and work something out or something... I know that they don't like people un-rightfully using their brand name, period.)

Also not sure on the resale policy..if you buy them maybe you can resell, but I'm not sure, and at the moment I kinda doubt it. Again, for that bit you'd want to contact the creator.

An brief explanation

The MLP pose engine is good. Tehre is a new version by someone else (I forget exactly who, sorry...Lear Cale maybe??) that is probably better. the SexGen engine is also good.

To give you an understanding, if you put the engine on the floor it might look like a cube. If you just stareted using it, you would do all that cool stuff, except you would be floating above an invisible bed.

So, you add the bed, position it right, and link the bed to the engine, so that the engine is the root prim. Then it looks like the bed is doing all the work, but in fact it is the cube inside the bed.

With MLP, you get to decide which prim is the root prim, since you put the scripts wherever you want.

Well, you need more than just the engine: you also need the animations. That turns out to be the hard part. Good animations take time and talent to make. There are a number of vendors who sell animations for use in sex beds, including Bits & Bobs, Dark Side, and many others. However, distributable (copy/xfer) animations are not cheap.

MLPV2 is almost ready for release; in the meantime I recommend MLP, which you can find in Miffy Fluffy's profile picks. (It says it's been superceded by XPOSE, but you can still take the teleport and get one.) MLP is limited to singles/couples poses; MLPV2 supports up to 4, as well as facial expressions and room for more poses.

Your options are to buy rights to a distributable "filled" engine, or else to take an "empty" engine and make or purchase anims and build a menu of poses using those anims.

There are a number of free ones floating around, but I believe most of those were distributed in violation of the purchase agreements from the animation vendors, so I can't recommend using them for items for sale.

To make your own animations, I highly recommend you search the Animations forum for QAvimator, a free program that allows you to make them.

Good luck!
