"Ghost" prims. Any removal suggestions?

I've been building a house near a sim border and appear to have created some nice, invisible, prim in the middle of the house - they just won't leave. Can't see them using any of the tricks, but i can walk into them - they're definitely solid. I've calculated their shape & size and they're imitating the front walls/windows.

I've removed and rebuilt all walls & windows, no change. Ive waited for the sim to be reset, no change. I don't really want to completely delete and rebuild.

Any suggestions?

This is usually a client side effect; have you cleared your cache and restarted?

Client-side? I believe when he said he could "walk into them - they're definitely solid," he was referring to physical collisions. Surely all physics issues are server-side.

Perhaps building near the region border did have something to do with the glitch (has the neighboring region been reset too?) but in all my use of the building tools I still don't have enough experience with glitches to know. I've experienced ghost prims in my building a few times, but... hm... there is only one thing I can offer: check the 0, 0, 0 corner of your region for prims of yours. I've had prims that got erroneously sent there, while 'physically' remaining at the same location they had before they moved.

Thanks, folks. They're defintely solid and friends can walk into them, too. I know they originated with the wall/window, as they're sloped at the same angle (i can walk up them) and located on the same axis.

My regular house is near the 0,0,0 so i'll have a look around when i log in tonight.

BTW, i assume the weeks shutdown has the same result as a sim reset.

Those typically require a sim restart. Put in a ticket.

Hmm, the last time the asset servers were having issues, a friend of mine and I made a bunch of these accidentally. Cubes would stick around after deleting. Restarting just the client fixed it. Does the client not cache object positions at all, or was this simply coincidence?

Agree with Cristalle, I've had this on occasion and each time a sim restart cleared it.

Tickets for sim restarts are usually resolved pretty quickly too...had to do this myself a few times.

Make sure you also try control-alt-T (highlight transparent) in case you mean you can't select them to delete them. Once they aer highlighted, you can delete them. ;)

I have to hand it to LL for the restarts to clear up ghosted objects, just wih it didn't happen at all :c
If nothing else works, ask for a restart, they've always been quick to take care of it np!
And I appreciate it! :)

Thanks, one and all. I just put in a request for a restart and now eagerly await the results.
