HELP!!! I have built a house and linked all 88 prims. I wanted to make it modifiable, but it would not allow me to do that? WHY? I checked all the textures and they are all modify, copy, transfer etc. Do I have to mark each part when I make it as modifiable? Do I have to start over? Where is a master builder with info to share when you need one? Please help! Where is the Bat Signal?
Thanks!

do this little experiment: rez a cube. rez another cube. mark first cube as modifiable. mark second cube as no mod. Link both together, once with the first cube as root, then with the second as root. Check for modifiable in each case.... Result: the answer to your question...LOL

Answering in riddles isn't "Mysterious"... Just annoying.
Unlink one prim from your house. Make it mod. Select the house. Select that prim. Link. Mod prim is now parent. House should now be mod.

Mind you if it contains any scripts like doors, THEY have to be mod too. Drives me nuts that does, always miss it.

You're best to leave doors seperate anyway! Although rotating ones can be attached without fault, they're just better off left alone.

Hi Picola,
Chances are at least one prim in the build is not mod. Are all the objects in the build originally yours or have ever not been yours?
Scripts, Doors, windows, trims and fires used from others that are not mod are usually the culprit.
If at any time any part of the build has been taken into another’s inventory and then back to yours before you set permissions then you're out of luck and will have to replace those parts.
I’d suggest linking it in smaller sections and then try setting the permissions on each section to narrow down the offending prim(s). Once you find out which section(s) are not mod you can then unlink and check each prim in those sections and then replace the offenders.
Good Luck, permissions can be a real hair puller. KX

Since you don't seem to know the difference between a learning experiment and a riddle, I don't expect you to understand the following: What is given is wasted what is worked for is treasured

From: Pratyeka Muromachi Since you don't seem to know the difference between a learning experiment and a riddle, I don't expect you to understand the following: What is given is wasted what is worked for is treasured Since you don't seem to know the difference between a request for assistance and a request for a guru, I won't expect you to understand the following: A man shown "what" is not nearly so educated as a man shown "why".And I made the (perhaps erroneous) assumption that experimentation was already engaged. The forums are often a last resort for those seeking answers. And for those who come to the forums first, "Learning Experiments" are not what they are seeking. Either way, answering with a learning experiment is either arrogant, frustrating or both.
