I have been using Blender for about 3 months, and it will not import anything.

People talk about Python - why was it not included with Blender?

I can not find any info on how to get Python, or how to make Blender import files - even its own Blender files will not import into a new project.

Its terrible that these programs assume you know what you are supposed to do to make them work!!

Blender runs scripts written in Python. The most popular (for good reason) Second Life sculpty scripts were created by Domino. (^_^)

You'll want to install Python 2.6.4 available here:

http://www.python.org/

... And hop around Youtube for tutorials covering installation and use. There's a Youtube channel called "BlenderSL", I think that has great detail. Youtube is blocked where I'm at for this moment, search will yield what you want. (^_^)

The manual on Domino's site is also quite good way of getting a basic overview of how things will work. (^_^)y
