Firstly, please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this sort of question. I wasn't exactly sure where to put it...but I figured if anyone could help me...the builders could

Alrighty...on with the question:
I'm not looking to 'build' a house myself....I'll probably purchase one that someone else has made. My question is....WHERE is the best place to put it, why, and how.
I see all sorts of folks with homes on the ground, I see folks with homes up in the air a bit, I see folks with homes WAY up in the air, and I've read about these scripted house gadgets that it seems you tote around with you, rez them in the world when you want to go there, and then a script lifts the whole thing way up in the air.
I'm a bit confused about all of these choices and was wondering if someone could explain some of this to a newbie here and give me some advice on where I should build and how I should do it? I've read about purchasing land 'tiers' and purchasing the land itself in the various FAQ's and on the website...so that's simple enough to understand. But this 'house on the ground' versus 'house in the sky' versus 'house WAY up in the sky' verus 'instant popping in the sky house' has me confused.
My Real-life wife and I play together and have 1024m2 of land between the two of us. Our main 'priority' for placing our house is as much privacy as we can get, as well as avoiding any lag/frame rate issues as best as we can. We have only just started learning to build and create things so it will be quite some time before we ever consider possibly opening a shop or starting a small business...so at this time...our house would be just 'a house'. We dont' have to worry about customers or anything.
We don't need some 'monster' gigantic house either....we'd both rather be able to have and decorate just one or two large, nice rooms...and decorate them well...then have this entire gigantic monster house that will take us forever to populate with 'stuff'.
Well...anyhow...thats some basic information that might help you to give me some advice.
Thankyou kindly in advance!
