Building guns?

Im sure many people ask this question but how do i build a gun? can you describe it step by step..? or is there a website that shows you...

Be more specific, are you looking to design, construct your design, construct and script to shoot, etc. Not much help can be given for designing, constructing would be covered in pretty much any building tutorial (basic linking), and the scripting would be found in the scripting forums.

There seems to be no shortage of teenagers in the adult grid it seems.

A gun is - at base - an attachment, usually on your right hand, that takes control of your mouse button in mouselook, and fires a bullet in the direction that you're facing when you click it. There are of course a lot of other things that you can do with weapons, but that's the basic idea.

You should have a look at the Linden popgun, which should be in the Library section at the top of your inventory. (Just do a search for "popgun" and you'll find it.) It's not the best designed one in the universe, but reading the script should give you an idea.

To do guns properly you do need to be able to script, but you should be able to just make something that goes "bang" and shoots a bullet from existing scripts quite easily.

Don't confuse proper well-made firearms with the sort of trash that griefers and so on use - those are just crude annoyance devices.
