flexi-prim problems.... GRRRRR!!

I asked live help about this problem & didn't get anywhere, so I'm hoping someone here can answer my question.

I've been trying to make hair with flexi prims. The first style isn't very good, I threw it together but it works the way I wanted it to.

The one I made today is acting really weird when I wear it -- when it's rezzed on the ground (like when I was building & editing it) it behaves normally...

But when I wear it, the prims whip all around as if they are being blown around in a very severe windstorm -- they move so fast, it almost looks like they are flickering.

I have tried several settings to the flexi feature (a verrrrrry tedious process of having to re-set each prim, grrrr) and it makes no difference.

I worked for HOURS on this style, and I'm so proud of it -- but it's pointless if it can't be worn :( :( :( Anyone have ANY idea what the problem is?

I spent a fair while messing with the flexiprims when the new version came out and I have some idea what the problem might be

-max-high grav is bad and will pretty much cause your stuff to spaz if you walk while wearing it

-conflicting forces are bad and will get worse as they get more powerful- like having max tension and max directional forces are a very bad idea

Sorry if you've tried this stuff already :( also, short flexiprims have a lot more trouble when you move them around.
