I found it necessary ti move my entire hiuse yesterday and buy new land. So I was lazy and used edit ti select EVERYTHING!!!. and di a take. Worked great, one minor problem what was it called again and where the H*** did I put it. Going through and dropping every possible object it might be and saying nope that aint it and deleting is time consuming at best and hair pulling nightmare.

My suggestion is this - when I do properties of an oblject in the inventory if there was a prim count of all the items in the iblect it wiuld have been easier to find

Ir an option to search and sort by total number of prims, I'm a noob there may be an easy way to do what I'm trying but it was a thought

May be technical reasons cant be done or maybe I'm just dumb but thought I'd suggest

waits patiently for the flames - giggle

Thanks fir reading,
Sincerely

Sorry that happened to you :(

Would be useful to show the prim count on properties.. Can't see why it can't be done but someone cleverer than me might come and tell us different :p

Could try proposing a vote.

eek! Sorry that happened to you!

I do this often, and have noticed that the name of the collected objects brought into your inventory will be called the name of last object that you clicked on. It sort of renames it all. Even if that last object was simply named "object".

It will also try and put it into the folder that last object was in before the first time you rezzed it into the world. So you could try sorting your folders by "date", but that may not work if it overwrites the name of the object you pulled back in. But it *might* help. If you can remember at all what the last object you clicked on before pulling it into inventory was, you may can narrow down which folder it might be in.

Also, check your Lost and Found folder and Trash folder, just in case!

Sorry I cannot be more help. :(

If the objects have never been put into inventory, or have previously been found in the "objects" folder, just look at the top of your objects folder and it should be there.

Also like has been said, if the last piece selected was previously in a certain folder, check the top of that folder.

Pen is right, if you did a "take," it will be the last item (usually in the object folder) when sorted by date and it will have the name of the last object in the linked set that you clicked on (usually something terrifically usefull like "object";).

I still think thats a good idea though. I probably have one of the WORST organized inventories in the game. :P Back in the day I was a huge prim junkie and I'm literally terrified to bring anything out called Object as it just might have a thousand prims in it :P

There's always a sandbox for doing that.

hint: make sure you are in edit mode before bringing stuff out. this way everything rezzes in "selected", ready to delete with one press of the button if its the wrong thing.
