I was wondering if it is possible to build basements for houses. I have tried, but can't enter the room as it is below ground. How can I get into rooms below ground.?

Did you would make a hole in the ground and build your house over it? If so, then you could either build a staircase, or use some type of TP device.

Before build ing house dig all your land down as low as possible then smooth the floor then make a prim falsefloor at street level to put your house on, you can either use the default terrain textures in your Library to make it look like grass or better use a paving/ concrete texture.
I could only go down just over 10m but other way to have a secrete place is a skypod up at 10,000feet, build it at ground level then change it position in edit, make sure you landmark a teleport spot there so you don't have to fly up all that way :)
