An idea came to me last night when Sim 1 was overwhelmed with all the people that came to the Gender Bender...for large events, we really need to have a place that is situated on multiple sims so that no one sim gets lagged out or overloaded for a major event. After scouring Linden World, I was able to find *one* spot where land was unclaimed around a 4 corners, and I bought up the land in that area, which is located at the corner of Natoma, Tabor, Zoe and Clementia (near the big casino.) Although I had to cash in my Skydeck build to help pay for it, I think this could be a worthwhile investment for the community...if I can find some partners to go in with me to build a cool club on this decidely *expensive* purchase of land (since when did land become so dear??) I envision something that goes up several levels, to give more floor space and different themed rooms, etc, and it's on a lake, so we can go under water as well. The cool thing is the very center of all those squares of land I bought is the actual four corners, which is currently marked by a voting booth (votes are appreciated, so I don't get nailed on the taxes ) , so any large crowd will be equally distributed across all four sims. This is definately not a single-person project, so if anyone is interested in partnering with me on this, please pm me or i.m. me in-world at your leisure. If we can put our heads togther on this, hopefully we can build something that is worthy of hosting large events, etc... Josh

I'm definitely interested, Josh. I know I've been spreading myself a little thin lately, but that just gives me more incentive to get some more voting stations out there in the world. (Actually, I guess I'll be finding out tonight whether or not all my building projects are going to bankrupt me.) Regardless, I want to help out as best I can. The curent sim limits don't exactly make for very big parties... One idea that I had recently was to create a sort of event broadcasting system supported by scripts and a couple helpful people running a camera and a few big screens at either end. It wouldn't take much to drop a couple chat relays to the nearest sim wall. For anyone who doesn't get what I mean, it's pretty simple: just have a script running at the party that listens on channel 0 (normal chat), then shouts the data on a script communications channel to a relay station around the maximum shout distance away, which in turn sends the data to the next, and so on. At the receiving end, a script creates objects corresponding to avatar names and directs them to "speak" accordingly. As for the pictures, that's simple. Have someone at the party take snapshots and then send them to the person outside the sim. But a large event area at a sim wall intersection... that could be very helpful. Anyway, whatever I can do to help. Catherine Omega
