Creating Flying Objects

I just recently joined Second Life addicts and been searching all over the forums on how to make flying objects.
Yesterday I saw someone sitting in a flying stone chair and decided I want to make one myself. After some creating I managed to make a comfy chair but still have no idea on how to make it fly, except editing it while sitting and changing Z,X and Y position of the object.
I made my chair out of building blocks that allow checking the 'Flexible Path' box to alter their gravity and stuff, but still didn't manage to make it fly. Am I going in the wrong direction in assumption that those are the figures I need to play with in order to be a leet flying chair owner?

Thanks for any answers already. Please remember that I'm a novice builder so I might not understand any professional terms you might use.

I'm afraid the Flexible path options have nothing to do with physical movement of the chair. Instead what you are looking for is a script to control the physics and turn it into a vehicle. You will find more information about scripting here: SL LSL Portal and LSL Wiki

You might also wish to look through the Scripting Library and the Scripting Tips of this Forum, the later is useful for asking questions about scripting.

Best place to start would be the Tutorials section of the LSL Wiki.

Great! Time to learn some scripting then.

Thanks for the quick answer.
