New and just bought my plot of land. In process of building my house (shortut using a house-in-a-box and editing), but as I take other objects out to add to the house, I get an message saying it can't because the parcel is full. I can put the object in a neighbor's plot and move over, but apparently not in fast enough time, since after a couple minutes they are removed and placed in my lost and found (even though by that time I normally have on my property).
Granted, a large part of the lot is being taken up by the house, but all well within the boundaries. What to do?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Click on the bar at the top of your screen where it says the name of the sim your in, your position, ect. This will bring up the "about land" window, click on the 2nd tab from the left (objects) and read "Simulator object usage" - it will show you how many prims your parcel can have on it, and how many you've used/ how many more you can add. I have noticed on occasion that I'll get that "parcel is full" message even when my parcel is not full, especially if I just deleted some stuff - in other words it can take a minute for everything to "catch up". But, since you did mention you're new, and incase you don't know, you can only put so many prims into a parcel - if you need new prims the only option you really have is to buy additional parcel(s) in the same sim, or sell your parcel and get a bigger one that supports more prims.

That appearst o be the issue. That being the case, is there a way of reducing the # of prims in a pre-packaged thing like this?

You can always try to take out small parts of a packaged item if you have modify permissions over it. My advice is to get a more experienced friend to help out. I can also offer help if you IM in-game.

From: Scotters Trumbo That appearst o be the issue. That being the case, is there a way of reducing the # of prims in a pre-packaged thing like this? If the prefab permissions allow you to modify the objects, you could take it to a sandbox where you wouldnt be limited by the number of prims. Edit the objects to reduce the number of prims so it will fit on your land. Then take it back into your inventory and return to your land to install it. Its important when buying mulitprim objects such as houses, furniture, etc. to check how many prims they have and make sure you can afford that number on the land where you want to use it. Some furniture uses more prims then some low prim houses, so you could not use them in your house. I designed a low prim house specifically for people who do not own much land. Only 29 prims, /invalid_link.htmlso even if you own only a 512 sm piece of first land, which supports only 117 prims, you will have sufficient numbers left over to allow you to furnish it.

Here is the photo attached below and the text from the original post desribing the house. ---quote--- Shona Houses - Deluxe and low prim models available -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These two beautiful houses are uniquely designed for the SL environment, with a private first floor and a spacious, open second floor deck. The design of these houses is unlike any other prefab house available in SL. They are not your usual, mundane suburban stick structure that you see everywhere in SL. Designed by a real life Architect, they are tasteful and carefully detailed for your aesthetic enjoyment, and will enhance any environment that they are place in. These houses will fit on the typical 512 square meter first land if you leave off the patio/swimming pool deck. The deck requires an additional 15 meters next to the house to accomodate it. Features include built in planters, fire places on both floors, two sliding locable doors, one-way privacy windows, a 140 SM patio deck with swimming pool, teleports and stairway between floors. Both houses have 500 SM of living space. Shona House L$500, House = 88 prims, deck & pool = 19 prims, 107 prims total http://www.pbase.com/cptinrn/image/49519173/originalhttp://www.pbase.com/cptinrn/image/49519171Shona Low Prim House L$350 House = 29 prims. *snerk*
I looked at that and said to myself "I can't see 19 prims in that deck and pool" and tried to grab the JPG with ALT-drag to look at the other side.
That goes in the "you know you've been spending too much time on SL when..." file.
