I have downloaded gmax 1.2 from www.turbosquid.com/gmax and there are importers/exporters on http://www.katsbits.com/htm/tools_utilities.htm. I haven't yet tried to create sculpted prims with this software. Can anyone tell me if its possible?

gMax is still available for download? Wow, Turbosquid must have some history buffs on staff.

I wouldn't recommend trying to make sculpties with gMax. I don't remember the program well enough to talk intelligently about what tools it does or doesn't have, but the fact that it was cancelled almost 3 years ago, and the fact that it was only ever intended for making certain content for specifically compatible games, makes me want to say it's not a great idea to use it for much of anything anymore, let alone sculpties.

That said, you could make anything do anything if you really want to dive into it deeply enough. Why you'd want to though, when there are tons of better suited programs available, beats me.

For a list of programs people are currently using successfully to make sculpties (including freebies), see the sculpty wiki.
