In-world, to find TU classes, go to SEARCH at the bottom of your screen, then the EVENTS tab. Click the "Date" dot on the left side, then do a search for "teaze". You'll receive a list of all of our classes for the day you're searching on.

For the basics of creating clothes, first downloand the Template Collection from the downloads section of this site, and read the instructions. That's assuming, by the way, that you already possess some knowledge of how to use Photoshop (other powerful raster editors such as Paint Shop Pro and GIMP are fine too, but for simplicity purposes, I'll refer to them all as Photoshop here).
If you have no prior digital art experience, I'd strongly caution against putting the cart before the horse. Learning Photoshop is no small task. I don't mean to imply it's hard; it's certainly not, but it takes considerable time and practice to master it. There's really no way around that. Likewise, learning to texture for 3D is a whole subject in and of itself, which again takes lots of time and practice to do well. I've never met anyone who was able to learn both things at once. If you're already good with Photoshop, great. You should have no trouble following the template instructions to get started, and there are lots of us happy to help you get better at it from there if you need. However, if you don't know Photoshop yet, take a temporary step back from your clothing design ambitions, and make the investment to learn the program. That has to come first. As for weapons, that's two subjects, modeling and scripting (three if you count texturing). The easiest way to learn to model is simply to play with the building tools to see what they do. Check out the Ivory Tower of Primitives inworld for some good tips. On scripting, those who already have some programming experience usually report that they find learning LSL (Linden Scripting Language) to be very straight forward and simple. Those without prior programming knowledge (like me) tend to have varying success. If you go to the support section of this site, you'll find a link to the scripting wiki, which will tell you what all the various functions are and what they do. The easiest way to learn to script something specific, like a gun for instance, is to pull apart an existing one and see how it's done. I believe the popgun still comes in the library in your inventory. Take a look at the script in it to learn the basics of how guns work in SL. Of course, you can always buy scripts as well, if you're not programming savvy yourself, and you don't care to learn it. And for any of these subjects, you can take classes, as others have mentioned, and you can always ask for tips here on the forums. I think that covers everything you asked about. Good luck. _____________________
