Trouble Linking

I am working on a house that consists of two linked pieces for a total of 77prims. I am now trying to link the two pieces into 1 object. I reset the root prims in each unit to be right next to one another but I am still being told the pieces are too far apart. Can someone please tell me what I am missing or doing wrong? Thanks much!

The location of the two root prims isn't the issue. It's the location of ALL the prims. The maximum linkable distance for a group of prims is 32M on center for the entire group. If any one prim in the group is outside that diameter, the link can't happen.

Thanks Chosen. I've read about the 32M rule but didn't fully understand. I was dealing with a modest porch and roof overhang that was falling outside that range. Problem solved. Thanks again!
