since the last update i have had constant packet loss and lag. the screen continually freezes. when trying to edit objects or groups i move them by dragging or entering values in position fields and sl decides to change them a few seconds later (often several times). Having finally got the prim to the position i want i deselect ony to find the rotation changes.
Textures do not take on all faces and have to be selected several times. I have even had objects moving in the opposite direction to the way i drag. It seems that far from trying to make this a better world for all by making it easier to create content, the Lindens have decided that $ are more important and allow thousands more new accounts to add to the overloaded system. :( :( :(

Unfortunately it is the same for many of us, plenty of packet loss on my end too and we are not alone, it is mostly because of the high login number, the concurrency has not helped one bit in regards to lag, but it has demonstrated the power of the SL residents and it's commitment to continue growing, their are going to be growing pains, all we can do in the mean time is bite down and hold on, if you can bear it you will ultimately be part of what I believe to be a revolution of the WWW.

I can second all that.

I still can't work out why my builds are moving and why textures don't stick.
I'm avoiding logging on now 'cause I know I have to do a lot of things two, three and four times.
Rotating an unlinked group is a gamble.
I think I've lost my best customer now too because in frustration I typed " I give up" and logged out.
Yep, things have changed, and not for the better. The freezing issue gives me the (insert expletive here!) Man.. I could go on

the freezing thing is a known bug they might fix I get that from time to time on some sims more than others. Every 20 secs you freeze for 20 secs. relogging sometimes fixes that. This new slippery building where pieces move the opposite direction that's a new one. I think it depends on how close you are to a 90 degree angle to what your moving ? Mabey being at a 45 from it would help? I'm not real sure. The changing all textures in a group of objects seems to be a mess but I look at the texture section of the edit menu and drop the texture on that and hold a little while if it says multiple after a few secs then something changed back drop it on there again sometimes it takes 7 or 8 tries before all the objects finally get the texture.
Yes building has gotten harder. I remember when you had to unlink a prim from a group to move it then relink it, then they made it possible to edit one prim in a group. That was nice till a few updates later when they fixed something else and that became impossible again. But it's still possible to try now just hardly ever works. SL has gone through a few versions I would have been happy if they stopped at. I hope they get to another one of those soon and then really think out any improvments before they add them. If it works stop trying to fix it.
