manipulating a sphere

I am trying to manipulate a sphere such that I'd like to stretch it then shear it. It would approximate some semblance of a right triangle (pyramid) but with all corners exrtremely rounded off. I have also tried to stretch it and taper it to approximate an egg shape.

I assume this is not actually possible but I have seen what appears to approximate that in some pictures though I have yet to contact the creator of the originals.

Are people somehow torturing something else to accomplish these shapes, or possibly combining prims to approximate it?

free advice, worth every L$...

1. Go find a Prim Builder in a sandbox somewhere. That is a good way to see very quickly just about every possible one prim shape.

2. Go to the beta grid, and try out the sculpted prims. They will probably be part of the main grid soon, and will do what you want and much more.
