Ive been having problems latley, I am usally building massive ships and other buildings and since the new update ive been having problems with saving them..For example. I looked over all the ship to make sure i had everything hilighted and selected, but then when i click take or take copy only half of the ship is saved. its always worked on my previous builds but in the past month my customers have been having the same problem, when they went to rez their ship they only got half... T_T dose this happen to anyone else??

Not necessarily impossible, but definitely a pain in the tail. It appears to have started two releases ago. It's been a problem for the past few weeks.
I built a two story tavern just recently. About 260 prims, furnished. The ground floor, second floor and roof were three linksets, and the doors and furnishings were seperate items. I highlighted everything, told it to take it into inventory... and the second floor was still there. The rest was in the inventory, minus the second floor. All had been highlighted properly... *sigh* I rezzed the rest of it, put the sections back into alignment, and tried again. That time it worked fine. Workaround... Select all and tell it "Take a copy". If the place you are trying to do the build has enough prim count, try rezzing that copy, before disturbing the original build. If the copy is screwed up, try again, from the original... Repeat till it works, and try to keep cursing to a minimum... ![]() _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

And don't forget to drop a bug report or notify live help.
I've been experiencing issues since Monday with the Asset server and very long script save times as well as very long take times. In both cases in excess of a full minute for a script to save, or an item to show in my inventory. After checking with other's around me and in multiple sims, who were all having the same issues, I contacted Live Help and they said no one else had reported it. They figured it must have been a fluke because no one else was reporting it. If it doesn't work, report it. If LL doesn't get consistent reports, they won't know if it's a localized problem or grid wide. Don't just "put up with it..." |

This happens to me all the time. I always have to re-rezz my cars I'm working on to make sure every piece shows up. It's about a 50/50 shot for me. I never can tell if I'm going to get it all. I worked on a car once that I had almost finished, 1300 prims later, copied it, FOOLISHLY deleted it then tried to rezz it later on only to find part of the interior and engine and 2 wheels intact. The rest was long gone. After I stopped crying and blowing through a pack of smokes I determined to rebuild it again. I learned my lesson the hard way. Until this gets fixed take copies often and re-rezz to make sure I got it all.

This I've noticed is an inlaid problem with the asset server. Even in some 'doodle' style builds of around fourty prims there were parts that though highlighted, did not follow through using the take option from the right click menu. The only way I've found aronud this problem currently is to give the entire set a shake on an axis and see what parts get left behind.

I believe that things you delete, even from world, end up in your trash folder. So there's still a chance that it could be recoverable, assuming it saved all the prims to your trash correctly. D'OH!!!!!! |
