Just curious if there are any public projects that need to be built? I have come real close to running out of money over the last week or so. My ship project is hogging most of it along with my trading post. Is there a way of doing some public work in order to get a salary for work done?

I would like to build a park of some sort, or playground type thing. Or a hedge garden. But its not a civic proj and I can't pay anyone lol. I am running low on funds myself. I figure what with taxes I will be broke in a matter of months.

I am opening a small shop smack in the middle of a sim, but don't have it stocked up yet.. so I don't anticipate making a ton o' $$.

Hence, I would be into some public projects if I can find time in my crazy life.

If you release something to the public can they just move it from where it is whenever they want or do you still control it? Does anyone get what I am saying?

Not only can they move it, they can claim it, take textures, delete it, put it in inventory

so if you make it public you no longer have control of that item... That sucks.. there should be some sort of limitations.. like they can copy it or use the texture but not move it or delete it... Basically make it to they can use it however they want without permision but you should have to sacrifice it..

The idea of releasing to the public is so you no longer have to pay for anything regarding the object, but also, if things get crowded, people can delete it and move in. If the “public” doesn’t want it, they can get rid of it, see?

But on the other hand, the person (forgot who) who made a stone face ala Easter Island, LOL, has put his/her mark everywhere making it seem like an ancient culture of stone head worshipers once lived here., but if it ends up in your way, you can delete it or move it.

Well, that’s the trade off

i noticed a wild west town resident work project near the consignement superstore which allows you to apply for contractor positions. With the task successfully completed you can receive a nice chunk o' change.

Wild West Project help
01-23-2003 06:50
I'd like to work on one of these projects.

Not looking for much in the way of cash but rather to join a group working on one of these things.

Drop me a line if you're looking for cheap ( and good ) labour for a wild west project.

Cheers!
