I made a sculpty prim using tokoroten, uploading the texture the normal way. The resulting prim is correct except that the texture is on the inside walls of the prim, and the outside surface is clear. Anyone have a clue what's going wrong here?
Thanks!

Thanks! Sculpties can't be 'hollow' like normal prims, so they only have the outside texture. What I'm assuming happened is somehow your sculpty got twisted inside out while you were making it...

Right -- only, I didn't make it, tokoroten did. Any chance this could have happened due to image compression? And how does one go about uploading without compression these days?

Also check to make sure that there is no alpha in the texture that you are applying.

it does fix it....
fyi, if you keep the original sculpt shape, center it over a slightly smaller corrected sculpt shape, you can provide a nice aura(cell shading) effect on many sculpts, by setting the outer sculpts color to some solid color w/ or w/o transparency

Yes indeed, flipping the texture horizontally fixes the problem. Thanks!
And thanks for the tip about the aura, though I doubt I'll want my guitars to have an aura. It would be a cool trick to use for a neon sign, though!
