Hi there,

I have just bought a Homestead sim and have an ambitious aim - to create a forest/nature wonderland. That may not be a stretch for those of you with sculpty skills, but i am a total novice.

My experience so far is limited and extends to making and selling paintings in SL and I have dabbled with some prim construction (a few arty sculptures and even a bit of animation), but nothing too onerous. I also know how to make 2 prim plants/trees by placing upright flattened prims at right angles, but i want to "branch out" - excuse the pun :)

So I was hoping you could help me get started with sculpties. If this all works out I'll be making trees, rocks, plants and general nature stuff to start with and other types of things once I get the hang of sculpties. As few prims as possible, preferably 1 for each asset or group of assets, is my goal because of the Homestead prim limits. Also, I want the forest to look realistic.

So is there a good sculpty tool that doesnt break the bank I should start with? I was considering Sculpt Studio ... am I on the right track? I have photoshop CS3, in case that helps.

I dont mind dealing with a learning curve but not one as steep as Mt Everest lol. As I said, it is an ambitious goal but what I lack in skills I hope I can make up for with enthusiasm.

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks! :)

sculptypaint092 has a rock auto creation mode, and can create many other shapes as well -Furthermore, read the sticky on sculpts and search the forum for other sculpt trickery used to hold primconut low.
