Hi;

Recently we have considered to publish a high resolution DVD containing valuable video tutorials about various aspects of building in second life. Our own video production list contains 8 videos about "blender and sculpted prims" at the moment with more to come in the near future. But i think, there are quite a few more videos out there in the world, which could be considered of common interest and may find their way into such a compilation...

pro: It could contain high resolution videos, which are not very well publishable on the internet due to their huge size.

contra: These videos get outdated within 6-12 months.

So, before we move on into a DVD creation and distribution task, i'd like to get some opinions from others first. Don't hesitate and enter your thoughts here, especially if you think, we are running into the wrong direction here .

We appreciate every input ;-)

I am assuming you would be charging to at least cover your expenses? A DVD is a idea, but with all the free things floating around I think you might be hard pressed to cover your expenses much less a profit. Just my personal opinion, I prefer web based "free" tutorials. I have so much invested in SL over the years now that I would be hesitant to purchase a DVD no matter how good the information is.
