Neko Building?

I was thinking about building attachment stuff for nekos but I'm not sure what kinda shape I should work on.. I was told to use a female shape for anything that would be unisex so male neko can just resize it... but I was also told that male nekos have a very skinny shape but not sure just how skinny.. can anyone give me any tips on what kinda male shape I should use?

Always safer to build stuff on the small side -- you can size up, but there's a limit on how far down you can squeeze prims.

ya this I know but how skinny are male nekos?

The variety is about the same as you would see for any human avatar, there really isn't a "standard" shape and I haven't really seen that kitties are especially thin. The drawn ones tend to be on the scrawny side, but that part didn't really carry into SL so much.

Have you tried simply Googling for "male neko" to find out how they're commonly depicted? I just did. From what I'm seeing, they're most commonly drawn as very slender, and very feminized. Think wiry 1980's hair-band singer meets local rat-starved alley cat, meets female stripper.

Me, I much prefer the Thundercats. But that's probably just because Cheetara ran around naked through most of the pilot episode (what a babe, gotta love how she comes a runnin' every time Liono yells "Ho!", and because magical swords are always cool. Plus they got to beat up an John McCain every week. Oh wait, that wasn't John McCain. It was that other twelve thousand year old, decrepit, half-rotten, walking corpse who lives to make war. (D'oh! Did I say that out loud?) At least Thundercats looked like they ete a meal once in a while.



Panthro was the man! He could so wipe the floor with that skinny little Neko ninja boy.








By the way, is there even technically such a thing as a male neko? If I understand the term, it's short for "nekosume", which is Japanese for "cat girl" or "cat daughter", or for the more slang term "nekomimi", which literally means "cat ears", but is commonly accepted to mean "catgirl".

It's possible I'm wrong, though, as I really don't follow this stuff. I'm just going off what I've read from time to time.
