I can't seem to find a definitive answer on these....
If you build a "sealed" room, is there ANY way that someone on the outside of it can see inside it? I've heard various things on this, but I can't figure out a way to zoom through a wall, so I figured I'd ask here.
Also, can one control when or for how long a person has access to a room or a building? Specifically, if you were to create a kind of "hotel" service, is there a method by which you could "rent" someone a room for a period of time, and only allow them in during that time?
Thanks again for the help!

No idea about the second part, but it is possible for players to see inside any building with the camera (as far as I know). This is done by rotating and panning the camera view inside the building. I believe the camera view even stretches past the chat range, but if it's privacy you want a chat range detector might help?

Bah. That's what I was afraid of. The number I read was that you can zoom up to 25 meters with the camera. So to get around it, you'd need to build, technically, a 75m by 75m by (50m + room height)m box, to keep someone from looking in.... A rather large pain in the ass (no pun intended).
Thanks for the confirmation!

No problem. That, by the way is why Skyboxes are so popular for, er... certain activities. People create a build (sometimes very simple) and shoot it up into the air. This avoids a lot of the busybody traffic ground builds can recieve.
For the second part of your question I would suggest heading to the Scripting Tips section of the forum. Sounds like it might be possible to do with a script?

Will do. This is an idea for a much larger project I'm working on, and I've got plenty to do before I get there. But such is my way -- cart ALWAYS before the horse. Makes things harder, but it looks funny to anyone watching, so I suppose it serves some purpose....

=D I'm sure if you did a bit of looking you'd find a large build or two settled in the sky, so if you do decide to settle in the sky to work or for the final build it wouldn't be out of the norm. I know both the Lost Furest and FurNation have multiple or moderatly sized attractions built in the sky for privacy or lag avoidance.
Also, with P2P you should be able to set the landing point for teleporting people just fine from the sky.
