I am making a shop in an island of sl. The island is closed to avatars but we would like to have a shop in the air.
I was sure that above a certain level ppl can come to visit also if the island is closed but i had problems, avatars cant come if i ask to teleport or give landmark. I tried at 250, 450, 700, 10.000 meters high. But i am sure it can be done in some way, anyone have an hint on this?
Thanks!
PS. The direct teleport option in Estate options is checked.

You might have to have a landing zone on the island with a short-range teleporter to the island. Put ban lines around the rest, or make it unsearchable. I forget the sim I was in, but TP landed me inside a white cube with a TP port. I could TP to that destination only.

From: Nefertiti Redgrave There is no way to direct Teleport above the No Acces Zone? I'm not too familiar with how islands work, but on the mainland you can change your landing point on your land to whatever position you want. (in "about land" Change it to the position of your store and then you can either have a private teleporter at the store to go down to your home or you can just use your "home position" And for guests that you want to visit you at your home, have a teleporter at the store and set it up with a guest list that will only allow the Teleporter to work for them. Omega makes a nice one that I use. It has a public channel, group channel, and a guest channel, (one more also but I can't think of it right now) (Any of those channels can be shut off with a couple of // in the notecard)

If the sim is closed to avatars, I'm not sure you can teleport anyone in - the owner *might* be able to, but I think the person being teleported has to be on the sim access list in order to be teleported in.
The landing point issue is another thing altogether. You can either have a telehub OR you can have different landing points, you can't have both. For example, my sim has the telehub disabled and I have 3 landing points, depending on whether people are going to The Botanical Gardens, Sky Dreams or Spa~licious.

From: Nefertiti Redgrave There is no way to direct Teleport above the No Acces Zone? There is no such thing on a private island sim. If public access is turned off, the whole island becomes No Access for everyone not on the list.

Only other way is by group settings on the sim, if the list does not contain the avatars name then the sim owner/managers have to set it to group and the avatar has to belong to that group
