Hi, Please excuse me if this has been covered before but i couldnt find anything relating to it. Is it possible to adjust the position of an object attached to 'another avatar'? An example would be for me to change the position of say jewellery on a different avater in order to make it attach in exactly the right place. Thanks

in a word no
If I am wrong please someone tell me LOL
I have tried everything I know even with them giving me permission to mod their objects and no way to do it on their avatar

if they are attached to another avatar, then no you can't. However, if said avatar is standing on a posing stand, you can manipulate unattactched objects over them while they stand still....that is if you have the proper permissions to do such....I use this technique on myself quite often when creating new bits for avatars, and have done so for others who wish to keep the size and shape of their avatar in tact. hope that's useful

If you want to give or sell a piece of jewelry or something to someone and then adjust it on them I guess you would have to get them to give you their shape, and adjust the item to fit that shape while you are wearing it. Then if you give the item to them and it should fit.

I have transfered my shape to someone before. The wore it, fixed what they wanted on it and transfered it back. Worked great but you have to be very trusting on that one.

Complicated, roundabout, but possible

Adjusting someone else's attachments to fit them can be done by a roundabout process without transferring shape. This is done best and most easily if the base prim of the attachment is not moved in any of the adjustments.* This procedure also requires that you have copy (and mod, of course!) permissions for your attachment. 1) You: rezz a copy of the attachment on the ground. 2) You: attach a copy of the attachment to yourself 3) You: stand on a pose stand 4) You: give your "tailor" permission to modify your objects 5) Tailor: move the copy to the same position as the attachment 6) You: detach your attachment, if needed to allow your tailor to see clearly.* 7) Tailor: customize the attachment as needed* You: rename the customized copy. Example: if the hair were named "Hoochy Hair, Red", change it to "Hoochy Hair, Red 2" 9) You: take your customized attachment copy back into inventory. 10) You: attach the customized (and renamed) hair. 11) Both: repeat steps 1) to 10) until satisfied. 12) You: ungrant your "tailor" permissions to modify your object. *If the base prim is adjusted for position after step 6), things will proceed in a very confused manner. The base prim will change position if you resize the entire attachment. The "tailor" must be expert at prim manipulation, not another inexperienced person. Your "tailor" must know what s/he is doing, particularly if it is necessary to do something that changes the base prim's position. [/INDENT]
