stretching?

Did the way stretching a prim change? I could have sworn that stretching only changed the size of the prim, but today it's also changing the position so that the side of the prim opposite the tab I pull is stationary (so... the center of the prim is moving)

Am I crazy or is this a new thing?

There is an option in the building tools that says 'Stretch Both Sides'. that option must've become un-checked.
