MANY of customers are IM'ing me about something's that 'looks strange' with the falls and things I've done using Jillian Callahan's splashable water. Is this a temporary thing? Hopefully :(

Margot, see the "Linden Answers" forum for posts from both myself and Jillian on this matter. Short answer, blame the lindens. Long answer, we don't know yet if it will be fixed, or if it even CAN be fixed. In the meantime, contact Jillian - she has an updated version of the water already thats fixed. I know that doesn't help all the customers, but...

Well, no, Zi, because Robin's response makes it sound like its just the grey goo fence issue.

It's not.

A better post would be this one:

Or this one:

What's really odd is that while Jillian's splashable water seems to have been stripped of a necessary internal component, I just checked a similar product by Siggy, for his primswim water and his swimming pools, and they seem to still work.

So does Jillians _waterfall_, oddly enough, just not the splashable ground-based water.

There seems to be no exact pattern to which things were hit and which weren't, but...

My gut feeling is that the lindens slapped together a very quick purging script that simply deleted any object that it saw rez X amount of times during the attack. I have no proof, but thinking about it... Of Jillian's three water products, her 1.5 splashy water, her 1.6 splashy water, and her splashy waterfall... only the 1.5 water was hit. Most people are using the 1.5 version water. And more people use the flat water than the waterfall tiles. So...

*shrug*

To contact a Linden employee about this or most things is usually asking for a lengthy, protracted NON-SOLUTION. They do the best they can with the staff they do have. Had excellent help here and there. But am tired of hunting around for those too few people. Ugh.

Loved that splashable water *so* much, so *nothing* is going to keep my creations from being without it. Will simply re-buy after she tweaks her splash...or LL's nose:)

As soon as I heard there were issues with components of Jillian's water being deleted, I went in-world and tested the Siggy pool on Wailele Isle and the primswim water on Nohona Isle, the two sims that I manage. Both were fine, and with my Swimmer HUD I could swim and float in both.

Siggy posted elsewhere that some of his stuff *was* affected. I suspect that the sims that were being attacked were the ones that Jillian and Siggy's water was harmed in. Out-of-the-way sims and private sims that were not attacked likely did not get subjected to the 'emergency fix' that the Lindens used to wipe out the self-replicating attack objects.
