Where to build

I am still new to all this and was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is anywhere I can go to build in peace?

I use the Sandbox areas during the daytime as they tend to be quite quiet, but come evening when I can sit and do this in peace (in the real world) it is full of others building huge houses, vehicles, and others throwing bombs and such like...... My browser is slow enough as it is without all the extra inteferance.

So if anyone can suggest anywhere I can go I would be very grateful )

Do you currently own land? I suggest if not, then take advantage of the 512 land. There are no tiers and you can then set your land not to allow anyone to enter (a no fly or enter zone) or get a security device of some sort. When looking...make sure you buy in the middle of nowhere because that land fills quickly. It should allow you to build in time to move to the land of your dreams! Once done...sell the 512 land HIGH!

What is the 512 land?? Is that when you become a premium member? If so that is currently not a possibility ( (school uniforms to buy)

The huge sandboxes are interesting to witness the utter chaos, but it gets old real fast when you want to sit down and do a build of your own.

The "New Designs Sandbox" in Elpenor is peaceful. No weapons allowed. There are also alot of freebie items and building classes.

I used to enjoy the social side of sandboxes, but more recently I don't have the patience for the random idiots and lag that can happen. When I need more space than I have available at home, I open up search, look for sandbox, and then scroll waaaaay down the list to the less popular ones.

I have one or two now that I can generally trust to be quiet, but before I did (and sometimes still) I'd find somewhere that had low traffic and looked nice, then select 'show on map'. Wait for it to load and hover your mouse over it and it'll tell you how many people are in the sim, and you can see from any green dots how many people are currently in the sandbox.

I've used the sandboxes lately, but set up really high in the sky not to be bothered. I'm only using them because I don't want to tier up yet.

The best sandboxes are the ones with the small white boxes with the label 'Anshechung' on them. Look for those large pieces with a no autoreturn setting and build there. Do clean up afterwards when you're done.

Oh I have a landmark to best sandbox I ever went too, When I came to secondlife I stayed away from sandboxes because of all the nightmare stories I had heard, Then I had a project I needed to check and didn't have enough prims on my land so I went to this sandbox (Can't remember the name),

The sandbox builder is a very nice lady, No weapons allowed (was very quite when I visited ( late nite australian time) and you can IM the owner anytime if you have any problems.

Until now I had only used the search on the map, I hadn't even thought of the actual search option (perils of a newbie )
