I made my space station as one sculpted prim with Rokuro. This is sort of a stacked set of pies if that makes sense. If you're a Trekkie think of a typical outpost space station, sort of a saucer on a rotating pole kind of thing, at least for reference as to the shape. It uploaded without a flaw.
Unfortunately that ole size monster has me. I need it twice the size, which means a vertical quarter of this shape would be what I need and scaled up, then settle for four linked sculpted prims.
The impossible seems to be using any application to neatly cut this object. Everything requires playing with the color texture and it looks very imprecise. Nothing seems to say anything clearly. A few I found you can navigate and select coordinates, but it doesnt really give you any clear English indication of what you can or cant do. At that rate I wonder if I should just make the stupid thing out of regular prims.
I have Sculptypaint, Wings3D, and a few other apps installed.
The game plan was to have a couple of cylindrical platforms in it, one for working on things and one for whatever alternate environment I wanted. It's big, but not big enough to do these things.
Question: If I rezzed one of those megaprims and edited it into a sculpty, will it give me my large, single prim space station?

I've never used Rokuro, so I can't give you any specific advice about it. What I can tell you is if f it can't handle making a semi-circle, there are lots of other 3D apps that can. You might want to try something more full-featured, like Wings or Blender. There will be a steeper learning curve with those, but based on your previous posts, you seem like a pretty smart person. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it. Just be prepared to take it slowly. From: Holocluck Henly At that rate I wonder if I should just make the stupid thing out of regular prims. I would. While you certainly can make a good looking space station out of sculpties, you'll need to use regular prims in order to for people to be able to walk in it or on it. Sculpties have their place, but I don't usually recommend them for things that need to be structural. From: Holocluck Henly Question: If I rezzed one of those megaprims and edited it into a sculpty, will it give me my large, single prim space station? Yes. If you turn a megaprim into a sculpty, you'll end up with a "megasctulpty". But keep in mind, as I said a minute ago, the physical structure will not match the visual shape.

I'm thinking of my parcel prim limit.
The idea is to have a cottage on ground level and a teleporter to two levels in the station, one for recreation and one a lab. And still enough primcount to work on whatever. These "decks" would be cylinder prims concealed within. The end result is a 3-prim skybox for two environments.
This one-prim station shell idea was almost a dream come true, and morphing it from a starter cube there was little change from what I made. Maybe the megaprim will be good to me.
Rokuro is a very simple program for making rotations. You play with coordinates on a grid for one side and it mirrors them on the other side, then saves the result as a targa.

Update...
Back to ye olde drawing board.
The 25x25x25 cube morphed into a 50x50x50 space station. No distortion to the shape (maybe it's how rokuro saves the texture)
The package I have doesnt carry any 12x12x12 or somesuch, only perfect cubes in higher dimensions. It looks like even a megaprim of 11x11x11 would have gotten me something workable.
I think maybe I'll forget the space station idea and build an alternative setting on the flat mega I already have a ways up.
