I'm on my land, adding to my gardens, and I've just completed a section that is 2 concentric circles of arches... I deleted the pivot point cylinders, and walked through the arches to add a path from outside into them, to where a fountain will be. However, upon trying to walk BACK through, I hit some invisible wall. I have used the objects tab in the about land window, hit 'show' to show all objects on the land, and there is nothing there.

It also happens when just walking around the circle (Between the two circles of arches) at about the same point on the Y Axis.

can anyone tell me what is going on?

EDIT:: I've just checked, and the 'barrier' continues upward, it is like a flat plane that extends far upward. It doesnt seem to effect my land on the ground, but I havent walked my whole property to check.

When it fixed itself, was that after you relogged, or did it just clear up on its own while you were still in-world?

If it was after relog, then most likely it was a cache discrepency. The information stored on your local hard drive about the objects around you was out of sync from the information on the server. It happens sometimes.

If it fixed while you were still in-world, maybe somebody was screwing with you (either on purpose or accidentally). Somebody could have placed a transparent wall behind you just for the "fun" of watching you crash into it and try to figure out what was going on, or somebody could have rezzed an invisible megaprim elsewhere in the sim without even realizing it would affect you. If it was temp-on-rez, or if it was sufficiently large enough that its center was located off of your land, it wouldn't show up in you About Land window.

If it happens again, press ctrl-alt-T to highlight transparent objects. This will show you whatever is actually there.

It cleared up while in-game. I first tried a relog and didn't help....

But I don't 8think* anybody put up a prim or anyting, since my minimap and av radar stuff was all completely ckear for all of it that was visible... but oh well

I'm having this exact problem. Several invisible objects that do not appear with ctrl alt t. I can walk into them, around them, even stand right on them, and in no way can I get them to show up. Anyone else know what can cause this? I've cleared cache several times.

P.S. Anyone can walk on the mystery prim; it's not just me -- so that wouldn't be a cache problem, right?

not cache no... and.. no idea why it happens STILL... never figured out waht happened to me either.. could maybe be a sculpty whose bounding box is huge compared to the actual prim? thats the only thing I can think of, and I'm not sure if it would show in ctrl alt t

EDIT:: Just checked, sculpty bounding boxes don't show, so that is a possbility.. maybe a mega prim sculpty that doesnt actually look that big withot the bounding box?

The only way I've successfully gotten rid of those, was to restart the sim. Ask your sim owner/estate mgr. to restart your sim. Not a guaranteed way, but it has helped in the past.

are we sure it's not an 'invisprim'? those don't show up in ctrl+altt+t

the quick way to find them is to look through them at something with alpha, water, textures, linden plants too iirc. they will blank out the texture of alpha'd objects

Yes, Sue, this did fix it. This is a mainland sim which I own most of. Belinda Linden restarted it for me, and those nasty things were gone!
