Here's the gist:

Royalty-free plays performed in a theatre environment on Second Life.

Will consist of directors, actors, costumers, dramaturgs, lighting designers, set designers, build crews, and props designers.

Membership fees will fund the build of any necessary items.

I've created the group already, and am wondering about a few things:

Where should the plays be performed?
How do we deal with getting all of the actors in one place at one time?
How much should membership be to reasonably fund production of the plays?

What do you think?

I suggest you perform the plays in the amphi theater. You would have to do something about the falling trough bug there probably...

Um... I tyhink I may have misunderstood the original thread, but you weant the actors to pay for performing on stage? Shouldn't it be the other way around, like have the audience pay? I would definately want to joiin an actors guild but this fact sorta confuses me.

I'm still toying with the idea of having any cost; the idea is that it's something like an actor's union, where the members pay dues to fund the whole idea.

Also, I haven't decided on how much the cost (if any) would be. Right now it's set to 10 on a trial basis; that can and most likely will change, depending on input.

I like the idea of charging for shows, but then we need to find a way to be fair to everyone who wants to see them; how do we do a ticket scheme in an outdoor area?
