Alright, I know there isn't one...and that's a shame! It's a horrible injustice! So...we should start a petition or something...shouldn't we? T_T 4 prims to make a simple shape seems so wrong! Iunno, maybe options to edit diagonals on a cube instead...or...something. Someone should take this to e-paper as a formal petition *nods*

Try taking a cube and setting start and end twists to 45. Then stretch.

From: Miyu Goodnight Hm, I don't think I follow, it looks funny. "Looks funny"? Well um... Are you sure you set the cube's twist values to 45 and 45? If you're having any trouble making whatever 'diamond' you want, don't hesitate to report back here and ask about it (but do try to be clear what your issue is).

You can make a gemstone (diamond) shape with a torus. Hole size: .50 Profile cut: B .150, E .300 Hope that helps.

I tried 45 and 45 and it just makes the cube square again. If you mean 45 and -45, that really doesn't look like a diamond to me, unless I'm not understanding your directions? Perhaps you could be more clear on the values?

A dimpled sphere. Dimple in one direction only until you get the proportion you like. It's not easy to texture though.
It seems that a lot of jewelry just puts a gem texture on the base of a cone. Very simple, but can't be made as small.

Perhaps you could be more clear on the values? It's the final stretching that turns it into a diamond...... because of the twists you stretch in the diagonal directions.

Try hollowing a sphere with a square profile then texture the inside and make the outside totally clear

Start with a torus -> Hole size X 1.00 Y 0.50 -> Profile cut B 0.200 E 0.300 -> Size X 0.300 Y 0.500 Z 0.500
change type to Sphere! And use a class/diamont texture!
I think this will make a real good gemstone!
