Is there a limit to the size of linking objects? I'm trying to link some 10x10x10m blocks for a foundation but when I try to link to many at once I get the message that it can't link because the objects are to far apart?

30m apart is MAX...

but there is a bug that corrupts a prim, so even though not 30m apart you will get that error message. So just have to find the bad prim, delete it and create another and start linking again.

Actually I was able to get up to 40m with no problems.

Is it 30m from center to center?

30 m. from center to center...sometimes smaller with small prims. You can make an object that is 40 m. long...but the centers of your objects are only 30 m. apart.

Way to get around link distance limit?

Is there a work around people use? I find it very difficult to not be able to link large areas (Like 50 x 50 x 50 meter constructs)

How do people move structures that are not linkable?

It would be nice if at least when you select a bunch of things, the Object TAB of the Edit window would relate to the total selected object, not just the last item selected in the selection...

Select all the pieces either by drawing a selection box or by shift-clicking. Then just move them as you would a any single object. The manipulator handles will affect them all at once. You can move, rotate, scale, etc. Note that you can only scale uniformally, menaing by the white corner handles, not any of the red green or blue axial handles. Moving and rotating works as normal.

Also, if you take the selection into inventory all at once, it will appear in your inventory as one object. When you drag it out of inventory to rez it, the whole thing will appear with all the pieces in place.
