My First land is on a slope. I raised the lower part to the same height as the upper part. However, I cant seem to get the raised edge of the land square and the same elevation as the upper boundary. Please let me know how to edit terrain to get the edge flat. I'd rather not build a platform, saving prims you know.

Mainland has a max of 8M difference (+4/-4) between high and low so you may have reached your max change in land. Have you tried selecting the whole parcel using the select option in the terraforming menu and then ticking the flatten and apply to selection?
Private Islands, I believe have more leeway, however, never having terraformed a PI, I can't comment to that.

Sounds like it is time for you to go thru some tutorials in a systematic fashion.

From: Fargex Houston Abba, another question please. I have a prefab house. I want to remove the stairs, but everything is linked together. How do i delete the stirs without screwing the house up. Hopefully the prefab is a Copy OK, Mod OK build. If so, then you can work on a copy without fear of losing anything, since you'll still have an unaltered copy in inventory. Click on the house get ready to edit. On the Tools menu, select Unlink. All parts are still highlighted, but are now unlinked. Shift-click just the parts that you want to disconnect, and each should cease to be highlighted. Tools menu, Link, to reconnect the rest, which has remained highlighted. Now you can click on the parts that you wanted to remove, and can move them or delete them or take them into inventory, as needed. If the house is NOT Copy OK, Mod OK, contact the maker for assistance.

Private islands are set to a max of +/- 100 meters. PI Owners can however modify that so if you are on a private isalnd you may have to contact the estate owner/managers

Thanks Ceera. I saw you post too late and didnt link the deselected parts back together. Should i just start over or is there a way to select multiple objects and link them? Shift+click doesnt seem to work.

From: Lee Ponzu Sounds like it is time for you to go thru some tutorials in a systematic fashion. Lee, as one who went through the tutorials (2 weeks on noob island before the main grid) I can honestly say that I learned more on these types of things from fellow residents than I did in the tutorials. S/He may be the type of person who learns better doing rather than reading. I know I am. Wonderful helpful residents are the source of more information than I found available on H.I. or in the Tower. (Not to detract from these valuable resources, just expressing my experience.) A

Shift+click doesnt seem to work. Shift click should work for you. Keep trying it will work. If it doesn't take the think back into your inventory, rez it again and try the shift click again.

No reason to go back to Welcome Island. Search on the IVORY TOWER OF PRIMS. Its a self-paced, excellent tutorial that will answer All your building Questions and more. Its fun! Its famous! We've all been there at least once!
The teraforming questions are a little less common. There are some articles in HELP, and in these forums.
