Is there anyway to delete prims on a linked object while it is attached?? I just aligned some hair up and decided I wanted to delete some prims off of it because there was just too many. Now do I really need to take the hair off, unlink it all, delete a few prims, Link it up again, reattach to the skull, and then line it up all over again? This seems like a rather unnecessary procedure and I want to save some time here. Thanks in advanced.

Also, anyone else seeing issues when moving prims stopping and then seeing them actually move by themselves?

I don't think it's possible, since one can't even unlink one prim from an attached object. But if you rez the object in-world and unlink / delete a prim different from the root prim (and link it up again with the same root prim than before, in case you unlinked it all), it will keep it's attach point and orientation, so you won't have to reorient it after attaching.

I believe you will have to unlink and relink. There is a quick way around this though. When you're done deleting and want to link everything back up, right click on any of the pieces a choose edit.
Then drag a box over the entire quantity of prims you want to link by using the mouse and the left mouse button. They should all highlight. Next hold down the shift key ( memory may fail me here, but I'm pretty sure you use the shift key) and deselect the root prim that you had originally and then reselect it...this will make it the last prim selected.

That should allow you to quickly link everything back up.

While it is attached you cannot, no... but you can always use the Select Individual box, and then drag the prims you want to delete off to the side... then drop the object, go to edit mode, shift-select each prim to remove from the object and unlink them, pick up the main object and delete the discarded prims? :>

I'll need to try this out as this will save time adjusting the hair back on. Thank you.

Hiya Mcgeeb if you want to delete one piece, right click, open edit window, edit linked parts, click on the pieces u want deleted, click tools, unlink, that one piece will then unlink and you can delete it while the rest of the project stays linked.

This is good, but make sure you are not indoors / prim heavy where you can highlight anything else. You will end up with more than hair attached to your head.

Personally I would edit and move them away from the head piece or change the color (not texture) so that I could recognize it when I took the hair off. Then in edit mode, you select ind prims and click each piece you want to unlink from the whole. (hold shift while clicking each deletable prim - you can tell since only those will highlight in yellow) Go to the tools bar up top and unlink. You can then delete those hairs and not have to relink anything. ;) safer for me this way anyhow, I looked a little strange having a floor in my chin :D
