Not just any home though... I want to see if anyone could design... <b>The Iron Vulture</b> The Pirate vessel known as the home of Don karnage from Tailspin. This vessel was a slow moving massive helocopter/hovercraft hybrid. Its large iron hull, rectangular shape, was held up by two massive hydrogen blimps on either side, which were then lifted up by 12 helicopter blades (6 on either side). Behind it rested two massive propellor blades which moved the vessel along. The beak of the vulture was a massive door which opened and closed to the hangar area for planes to fly in and park, the eyes of it, above the beak, held the bridge area.

Id like to see it built, fully scripted to react like it did on TV, and able to do everything as stated. If your able, please reply here and estimate a price where needed as well...

actual, working, driving vehicles can only have a total of 31 prims, assuming one passenger. each additional passenger subtracts one prim from the total. so, 2 passenger's leaves you only 30, and so on.

to get something as big as the iron vulture, it'd take way more than 31 prims. you could probably do it small enough to make it a vehicle for one person though. or you could build it as a stationary object with scripted parts, like an opening and closing beak and belly hatch, and spinning propellers.

I do know you can build large vehicles, like a very very very big zeppelin for example, but you do have to worry about 1) prim and 2) lag (a side effect from 1.) Also, if you did build a very large bird like this it would have to use the "attachment" (IE would become your avie) method, which can get hard to work with. As for a stationary home/project, this is 110% doable, as for a 100% working vehicles, it isn’t.

On a different note, I'd be happy to build you Don's Tri-Wing Terror or Baloo's Sea Duck. (Which if scripted right, could fly easily.)

As for a builder building a stationary home (in the shape of the Iron Vulture), I'd also be happy to do that. Please contact me in game for a written estimate and info on all.

Good Luck,
- Sam

(Side note, this was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid! ;) )

You could use non-physics movement, or a multi-move type setup. Of course, if you linger too long in someones airspace the ship will be auto-returned, and because it's not a single vehicle I don't know what will happen if you try to enter a parcel with a low prim limit.

As a non-moving house built on your land, it's very possible.

Id prefer it to be a moving vehicle, but true to form in that its a fairly slow mover. Imagine medium speed of the Terra Airship being its maximum. As for prim limits, I would like to keep it low, yes, but I also dont want to take away from the overall design. I want this to be a large ariel vessel where multiple people could walk around in its hull like an open house (Its a large hull) and one person could steer (wether that be by hud, attach, mouselook, ect.

No one willing to build it as a vessel with use as a home?

Getting a massive prim number moving is a non-issue, for the most part, if you turn to clever llSetPos() use. Linking something that long (4 10m boxes side by side will link, but then try linking other small sh*t to that and see what happens), may be.

Why don't you hire somebody to build it in 31-prim segments, and then apply the open source multi-move script? If I remember correctly from the like 5 seconds I once spent looking at it, the script is very well documented. You might not need to hire somebody to install it in your build; I'm sure you could figure it out for yourself. You might think about hiring a scripter to tweak the script for your purposes; since you don't mind it moving slowly, there may be some places where lag can be saved on. If you want scripted doors and weapons and stuff... or chipmunk avvies... you'll need to hire out, I suppose.

Im looking to hire out becuase I dont want the bottom of the line anything... I find if you look for simple things, you typicaly wind up with disapointment... Think of me as the cardboard box guy in the alley who eats with a silver spoon

Give me a blueprint for it, and I'd be more than happy to do it... as a stationary building.
