Hi guys,

This may be the wrong place to post so I apologize if it is.

I just want to know: is there a tool of some kind that I can plop down in the middle of my rented space that will count the prims inside? I know how to check prim count on the LAND that I OWN but I also rent shop/apartment space.

It's just a pain to manually count the items everytime I move something or something sells.

Does such a tool exist?

Thanks :)

You can select all the objects in your rental space, and the total number of selected prims will be shown on the General tab of the extended edit window... or is that what you mean by counting "manually?"

If what you're renting is a parcel, click the ground (not a floor, but the ground below ... which can be difficult) and select "About Land". The Object tab will show you the total number of prims allowed and used and how many are owned by owner vs. others.

There are scripts that can show this info, too, which is handier. Sorry, I don't know a specific one, but I've seen them, even freebies. Hopefully someone will post a place to find them or what they're called.

Easiest way to count your prims in a localised area, no script needed:

1. Click Tools.
2. Click Select only my objects.
3. Open edit window.
4. Draw a big box around the entire area. (Step 4 may require you to zoom out.)
5. Click More in the edit window.
6. Check the first tab, it will list the prims.

A

ETA: The about land is good, if you have the ability to see that. Some groups, you won't be able to see your count there.

I rent an office--the way I check my prim count is > World > About Land > Objects --in objects it should say how many prims are in your rental parcel.

I made a prim counter. Its meant to be used by the land owner and all the tenants can click on it to get their prim usage on the land.
