Hello All,
I need to make a display sign (like a small billboard). Is only way to display text on it is to apply an image texture or is there any other way? I need this display to be changed regularly (it’s a sign post for a music venue).
Thank you in advance for your input.

Hey Justa,
Yes I got it and thank you. But not sure how to get it going. The "readme" notecard wasn't very clear to me. What would be the steps to take?
Thanks bud!

Well, I can't use it, as it takes 87 prims!!! So, this is only good if you lots of prims available. FYI.

You can only have one texture per prim, so each letter must be a prim. Two per prim if you're really good. To make a billbooard you can asily change, it takes a lot of prims.. best thing to do is just make a 1-prim thing you can texture easily, and make new textures when needed. Maybe make multiple textures you know will be needed, put them in it, and script it to be able to change it when required

Ah yeah... well I did mean to say per face if that helps Usually you'r not gonna see two faces aimed close enough to do it right, so for this use 1 per prim is the most common. One way would be to taper a cube on x OR y, not both, all the way and flatten it down. SHould cause it to have two texturable faces pointing almost the same direction (Almost exactly I mean).... ETA:: Actually if you taper on BOTH, then you can get 4 faces facing out...didn't think about that, was invisioning a cone suddenly happening lol I can't think off the top of my head how to do 5 or 6 o.o Prism?

The 5 face one is essentially a flattened, hollowed, cut prism. Try this: Type: Prism X Size: 0.3 Y Size: 2.89 Z Size: 0.5 Path Cut B: 0.19 Path Cut E: 0.80 Hollow: 68 Hollow shape: Default (Those numbers were pulled from part of the XYText library - a script to set a prim up like this is at http://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=LibraryXyText12 )
