Hey guys - I'm searching the web for tips and tutorials for creating smooth curves and bends on a NURBS object in maya. I'm not particularly well-up on the software or toso just the right keywords or tools to search for would be great, I'm not asking for an enormous tutorial :D (I'm hoping someone else has done that already!)

While I'm at it, why can't I make a nice long tube without it uploading full of ugly vertical ridges?! It's just stretched, dammit!

Have you tried to extrude a nurb curve?

The sculpty in your image looks like an uncompressed sculpty that hasn't downloaded fully. I'd recommend that you test it in another sim or even on another day.

Uncompressed sculpties can sometimes take considerably longer to appear.
