I had a need to set permissions on a project when i was building it and had an idea. I have told it to several residents who agree it would be good and wish it were so. the idea was that on the edit pie shaped menu when you right click on object..... and go to more at the bottom of the menu there is a blank space on that menu the idea would be to put "properties" there. yes i do know you can get to properties on the regular edit window. but by putting it on the edit menu which brings up a small pop up window with the property options on it.. by doing this it gives us another way to set the permissions a quick way if we did not have the regular edit window up

Good idea. Personally, I'm in favor of killing the pie menu altogether, and replacing it with a standard list style menu. This would allow for unlimited scalability to the menu so all kinds of options could be added to it. There's a reason why pie menus are so rare. They're just not efficient. Ideally, a user-customizable menu woud be best. Something like Maya's hotbox/marking menu system would be great. Too bad it's patented.

It is a very peculiar contradictory statement, saying that pie menus aren't efficient, then followed by praising the Maya marking menu, which is actually a form of expanded pie menu.
