Hello everybody. I was wondering how you attach prims to specific areas (not in the drop down menu when you click Attach), for example lets say you want to attach a few earrings to specific areas on your ears, or a bracelet to a specific area on your arm, etc how would you do that?

Attach it to the appropriate point, then go to edit mode and move it to the specific point.

An object attached to your ear can even be under your feet, but it will move as your ear moves.

So the guide is attach the object to the part of the body whose movement you want. So earrings in unusual ear locations can be attached to any head position (since all the all the points of the head move together anyway).

Hi Alexandra... it's as Aodhan says.
Take your bracelet example. Right click and attach it to your forearm.. then, get on a posing stand, that will keep your avatar completely still, while you click on the bracelet and go into Edit mode on it. You can position the bracelet exactly where you want on your wrist. Close Edit when you're done..and step off the posing stand. Afterwards, when you click Wear on that item, it'll go to where you positioned it.
Multiple earrings on one ear is a little different as you can only attach one item to one body part at a time, regardless of how you've positioned it, BUT, you could attach one earring to the Ear as usual.. adjust it's exact position.. then say attach another to your chin point.. and again using the posing stand you can move it so it's actually positioned on your ear.. and maybe a third one can be attached to your eyeball, and positioned on the ear where you want it. That way, you can Wear all three at once, as they'll actually be attached to diff body parts. They will move as per the body part in question though, as stated above.

I think you could also group all your objects together as well. Taking earrings as an example. Imagine that you have several earrings and you want to wear them all. You could attach one to your ears, one to your nose and one to your chin. Or... you could drag all those earrings to the ground and press shift to select them and press ctrl-L to group them together. Once you take them back into inventory they will be one object that can be attached to just one place like your ears. You'd have to reposition them like Dellybean says. It's complicated but useful if you have too many objects and not enough ears.

For a non-standard location, sometimes you have to get creative. I wanted to attach two feathers in my hair, with a prim hairstyle in place. If the hair is modifyable, I could drop a copy of the hair on the ground, position the feathers on it. Link them to the hair, and take it back into inventory. Wearing that hair then also gives me the feathers. I could do similarly to wear a tiara or a hat at the same time as one specific set of prim hair.

Alternatively, I could attach the feathers to my left ear, or some other place, as others said.

Note that all attachment points are not created equally. Some move differently than others.

I wanted to attach some prim nipples. 'Chest' was in use for a set of wings. So I tried attaching them to the left and right pectorals. Problem was, as the figure moved, they moved slightly on the chest, sometimes vanishing into, and sometimes floating in front of, the skin. Some trial and error proved I had to use the chest point to keep them stable. I did that, and moved the wings to 'spine'.

Thanks a lot for the advices! I had no idea you could do it that way (newbie here lol), and didnt think of linking the objects either, I definitely will have fun with that today :)
