Just made a small poster board and would like to know if there is a place or class I can take to make good looking poster boards. If there is a place where I can get a sample or just a look please let me know.

No such class that I know off. Are you referring to making the poster texture, or making the poster board itself? You can always post links to something you have done and let others comment or lambaste you with tips here.

I am referring to the poster board itself or even the texture whatever is the best and not so difficult to do. At the moment would like the tricks to make the professional poster board itself.

I think most of the time, it has more to do with defining what you want out of the poster. Assuming you already have some knowledge of whatever image editor you're using and also the basics of SL's build tools. Simple questions like:

- Is the poster weathered or squeaky clean? For weathering, you do most of it in the texture by layering over dirt, stains and grime. Colour saturation is also reduced.

- Should the poster be dog eared, torn or dented? These are achieved through both textures and prims. Dented signages can be made by 2 prims angled slightly from each other. Dog eared corners, use cut cylinder prims to make it curl around the edges.

- Does it have a frame around it, and is the frame itself dented or broken? When there is a frame around the poster, you can add some soft shadows around the poster texture to make it appear like the frame is darkening the corners of the poster.

- How is it supported? Is it stuck on the wall? Or its like a billboard with legs?

And so on and so forth. Most people just slap on a plain poster on a prim, but that's too easy.
