I made some simple platform shoes at a sandbox. When I went to position them on my feet I found my avis feet did not point down or rest upon the inner slope of the shoe interior. My feet stayed flat! Also, when i stood up wearing my ill fitting shoes i found that the platforms sank into the ground so my avis barefeet came in contact with the earth and not the platforms. It was odd.
Needless to say there must be a solution to this problem...i see dozens of girls in sl in heels that fit and that dont sink below the surface they are walking on.
I am a newbie to the game and there is much i dont know...is it a script? an alteration to an avi? Is it something i need to add to the prims of the shoe??
I am one baffled builder! Can anyone help??

yes its in apperance. right click yourself
choose apperance and go to the shoes button
adjust the heel hight and platform height,
and anything else you like then choose
make outfit button at bottom, in that window
uncheck all but shoes it will save in the clothing
folder what ever you named it. that is your
shoe shape wear that when you wear the shoes
if any parts stick out like the heels you will
need an invisable prim its a scripted way
to erase parts of your av, theres a post
in the forums about them somewhere
and someone has one for free in world
im at work now but maybe some one can help
you find it. oh and try to keep the invisable
prim as small as possable just large enough
to erase the parts sticking out.

Using the invisibility prim ??????
11-05-2005 01:16
I got to Taco province and got a copy of the invisibility prim. Any tips on how to use it?
When I tried i erased my foot. also, when i wore it on my foot it took the shoe I was working on away.
Any advice? Perhaps a step by step guide??
I really appreciate the help everyone has been so generous in giving!

size and shape the prim to what you need to cover just the parts you want to erase
and link it to your shoe like the other parts. its best to work on a posing stand that is
a few meters in the air, stand on it and move the shoe into postion not wearing it,
and move and shape the invisable prim where its needed then link them still using your
shoe as last linked (so it stays in the same place whne you wear it again) you still may
need to adjust it a little when you do wear it.

Sounds like a texture or a prim was made by someone else. Check the properties on all the parts you used to construct the shoe. Good luck :)

the invisibility Prim Is by someone else
11-06-2005 22:06
The public invisibility prim that I got for free in Taco province and I used in my construction ... was not made by me. -But it is public.
When i try to link it to prim parts i generated myself it wont work. I get a message saying that i cant link up to parts i dont own.
That is the problem.

Why cant I link up to a public prim?

Any advice out there?

I would probably try putting the invisibility script in my own prim and reset the script next. Hope it works for you. I'm no scripter hehe. Good luck!
