object appears transparent near window

i edited a freebie hot tub (changed the size and texture) . now when i put it near a window it seems semi-transparent......what can i do to correct this......

if you mean it kinda blinks transparent and back to normal when you move your view.. you can't. Its a problem with that type of texture (Includes an alpha or transparency layer) that deals with how the rendering engine sorts the textures in your viewer. Its not just in SL ,but the engine, so LL cant just wave a wand and fix it....

if its something else... no idea =P

Try a different texture.
I've come across a few textures that had alpha channel in them for no good reason. The originator seemed to have saved them as 32-bit without knowing/thinking about the consequences for file-size or alpha-feature.
Or - if it's got to be 'that texture' on your hot tub, then download it to your machine, save it as a 24-bit and upload it with a new name.
If you don't know what that means, then this is a great opportunity to learn :)
