How do you set up a prim or let's say a rug to be exactly even to be placed down on the ground? Or better yet you have 2 prims or 2 rugs and you wish to connect them together but they're both uneven maybe too high on the left side or in the front.

Now I know you can duplicate a prim by holding down the key and dragging the prim across itself. But if you already have it out and one seems to be too high on one side and uneven how would I use the rotate to even it out exactly straight?

Is there a number that makes prims even while rotating and if there is such a number or numbers how do you go about writing them in to set prims even with each other or alone when rotating them?

(Apologies if I didn't understand the question.) Edit the objects; if there's a blue "More" button in the editor, click that and choose the Object tab. That's where some numbers need to match between the objects to make them line up. Most likely the Rotation numbers will want to be integer multiples of 90 degrees (if I understand the "uneven" part of your question). Also, when you're building--especially copying prims--the "Local" Ruler mode is your friend.

If I'm understand your question right... In your edit window, at the top right, there's a "USE GRID" option. Experiment with that.

If you want a prim to lie flat simply set all the rotation parameters to '0'

If you want to make an exact copy of a prim and join it at one edge then DON'T click and drag, instead select the prim you wish to copy, select 'create' - then check the 'make a copy' box and click on the side you wan't the copied prim to join onto. Magic!
