From: Jaydin Messmer Well I clicked on edit linked parts... am I missing something? You cannot delete an item if you have the Edit Linked Parts option checked. That prim is still apart of the object so you must unlink the prim you wish to delete (Edit Linked Parts > Select Prim(s) > Ctrl+Shift+L). Right click > more > delete. Best, ~Ari

Why all this mention of right-click -> More - > Delete? Let me save you some clicks, guys. Simply select the object, and press the Delete key.
And Jaydin, yes, as others have stated, you can't delete an object while Edit Linked Parts is turned on. If you want to delete a prim that's part of a linkset, first unlink the prim from the set. Then select it and press Delete.

From: Jaydin Messmer Well I clicked on edit linked parts... am I missing something? To delete part of a linked obect, you have to unlink the part you want to delete first. Select the part (or shift-select the part s) you want to delete then press ctrl-shift-L to unlink them. From there, you can just click on each part and press the delete key to get rid of them.
