Theme Community: Ancient Egypt

The Ancient Egyptian Community presents an opportunity to create a unique experience in SL. This themed community could become the anchor of the Second life Community by serving several needs. (learning institutions, retail shops, entertainment, and housing). The concept is that the community would be developed with commercial lots, school lots, and event lots. The pryamids will serve as a place of venue for events, contests, and competitions. Other structures or buildings can serve as places of institutions, and retail shops where guests or residents can purchase the finest Egyptian outfits and accessories.


Presently, we have 8 members in our group that plan to build in AE.


Buildings will be constructed that support the Ancient Egyptian theme.


Events:
One of the major events hosted in the Ancient Egyptian themed community will be Scarab. A game where teams of 2 -4 will compete against each other by attempting to take control of the city and obtain Pharoah's riches. To win, teams must either kill off the oppossing teams OR gain control over the city by placing the most towers within and around the pyramids (must be within community boundaries). As our community expands so will the Scarab game.


Retail:

For the entrepreneurs at heart, Ancient Egypt will provide an opportunity to those in the community who wishes to open their shops and venues. The idea is to have a armor, clothing, and weapons shops

Other structures or buildings can serve as places of institutions, and retail shops where guests or residents can purchase the finest Kemetian (Egyptian) outfits and accessories. The possibilities are endless.

Presently, we have 2 members interested in the AE Community (myself and Strum Valen). We could use 3 more in joining us in making the AE Community a reality.

Ra

The Great Pyramid of Ra is now setup in Lusk. However, the pyramid is still under construction I would like to welcome everyone to come check it out.

Once the interior is complete, our plan is to build several smaller pyramids or buidlings next to the Great Pyramid to expand the combat zone for the Scarab game.

This will be one of the major events hosted in the Ancient Egyptian themed community. Rules and more detail info will be provided. Plan to have the first premier of the Scarab game on or before 19 April.

Also, if anyone has knowledge or experience in making weapons (guns, mines, swords,etc) , this could benefit you. As a member of the community you will be allowed to setup shop and sell your weapons to players. You're only limited by your imagination so make whatever weapon you can imagine. For ex: missles to shoot down AVs from the sky, Bouncers that explode in all directions when triggered and laser guns.

Currently, we have approx 7 members in our group. Any additional members are welcome with or without any skills.
